The Goddard School located at 161 Millburn Avenue, Millburn, NJ 07041 is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate curriculum using our Wonder of Learning program.

Lead daily activities, inspire young minds, and collaborate with a supportive team. Qualifications include a high school diploma (ECE degree preferred), 1–2 years of experience, and pre-service training. Compensation: $20.50–$28.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare/preschool setting preferred.
• State-required pre-service training completed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using our proprietary curriculum to engage and support each child's growth.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintain open, effective communication with families about their child's progress and daily activities.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills.
• Observe, assess and document children's learning to inform activities and share insights with families.
• Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers to foster a collaborative team environment.
• Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth.
