Job summary

Inspiring Scholars Academy in Winston, GA, seeks a dedicated Lead Teacher to manage the classroom program and implement weekly lesson plans. You will supervise development, maintain records, and communicate with families to support each child’s growth.

The role requires a CDA or related degree and familiarity with Bright from the Start rules. You will collaborate with Directors and staff, participate in trainings, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have experience managing a classroom and creating weekly lesson plans.
• Strong ability to observe and document child development and maintain records.
• Excellent communication with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage the classroom program.
• Create and follow weekly lesson plans.
• Supervises and guides each child's development, conduct observations and maintain records.
• Provides feedback to co-teacher with regards to classroom activities and each child's development.
• Positive communication with all parents and staff.
• Works with Director, Assistant Director, and parents to solve any potential problems in the classroom concern behavior issues and/or academic challenges.
• Conduct Quarterly Teacher/Parent conference meeting to discuss child's progress and development.
• Maintains appropriate records on each child.
• Take daily attendance.
• Provide daily head count to Cook of all meals served.
• Follow posted classroom schedule at all times.
• Maintain a clean and hazard free classroom at all times.
• Participates in center events and training programs.
• Assists in the training of other staff members.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs from floor to standing.
• Must be able sweep, mop, clean and disinfect classroom daily.
• Must be able to hear and see to respond to children's needs in a quick manner.

• Must have a CDA/ Early Childhood Development Degree School Diploma
