As an Early Childhood Education Lead Teacher, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula in our beautiful, high-quality, home-like classrooms. Using the Constructivist Theory as a foundation, you will create a dynamic, engaging, and safe learning environment that fosters intellectual, social-emotional, physical, and language development for children aged 6 weeks through 6 years. Job Requirements
- Education & Certification:
- Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers with ongoing implementation support from the Director/Assistant Director.
- Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience working with young children, including classroom management, positive redirection, problem-solving, and setting appropriate limits.
- Ability to manage daily schedules, transitions, and learning activities effectively.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to build trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity in all aspects of teaching.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding program details, families, children, and staff.
- Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Curriculum & Instruction:
- Plan and implement a quality curriculum that supports the intellectual, social-emotional, physical, and language development of each child.
- Utilize assessment data to tailor learning plans and monitor progress.
- Classroom Management:
- Manage a classroom effectively, including daily schedules, transitions, and the organization of learning tools and materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment using best practices and Constructivist Theory.
- Family & Community Engagement:
- Establish and maintain trusting relationships with families, involving them in setting developmental goals for their child.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and classroom happenings.
- Professional Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with lead teachers, center directors, and fellow staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment that meets Learning Grove’s high standards as recognized by Ohio and Kentucky’s rating systems.
- Adherence to Standards:
- Ensure all classroom practices align with quality content area components as defined by Learning Grove and accredited standards (SUTQ/STARS/National Accreditation).
