Job summary

Child Care Resources Inc in Madison, TN seeks a warm, patient Toddler Teacher Assistant to support a Lead Teacher for 1–3 year-olds in a safe, nurturing environment. You will help implement lessons, maintain routines, and build strong relationships with families.

Responsibilities include assisting with diapering, meals, and daily progress observation, while maintaining a clean, hygienic classroom and ensuring safety at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare facility or school setting.
• Ability to meet Tennessee DHS background check and fingerprinting requirements.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it within the first 30 days of employment.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, bend, and sit on the floor for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing age‑appropriate lesson plans, sensory activities, and play‑based learning experiences.
• Provide attentive care to toddlers, including assisting with diapering, toileting, handwashing, and meal/snack times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and hygienic classroom environment in compliance with state licensing standards.
• Supervise children closely during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well‑being at all times.
• Observe and document children's daily progress, behavior, and developmental milestones, sharing updates with parents and team members.
