Job summary

Treehouse Childrens Learning Center is seeking an enthusiastic classroom assistant to support lead teachers in daily activities and instructional tasks. You will help maintain safe, tidy learning spaces, welcome all students, and supervise small groups or individuals to reinforce lessons.

Responsibilities include following lesson plans in the absence of the lead teacher, assisting with meals and daily routine tasks, and helping keep children neat, safe, and engaged.

• Possess a passion for children and exercise patience with them.

• Work in small groups or one-on-one with students in the classroom to reinforce instructional material.
• Instruct students in proper classroom procedures and behavior
• Follow lesson plan in lead teacher’s absence
• Assist with serving meals, changing diapers writing daily reports, recording attendance, engaging in play, assisting to put children to sleep, and creating a safe environment
• Keep appearance of children neat and clean
• Assist in the daily cleaning and disinfecting of classroom and toys
• Hybrid Responsibilities (filling in as assistance in other classrooms)
• All miscellaneous items pertaining to the classroom
