Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Preferred: Certification in first aid, recognizing child abuse & recognition of common childhood diseases

Responsibilities

• Communication - Drafts clear documentation and reports for parents, coworkers and regulatory agents including daily reports, lesson plans, newsletters and professional development plans; supports relationships with families.
• Assessment - Uses progress reports and observations to track development; shares findings with classroom team and links to growth opportunities.
• Compliance and Regulations - Maintains knowledge of and compliance with relevant ethics, regulations and CACFP documentation; attends CACFP training as needed.
• Improvement - Recommends process improvements and supports budget targets with staffing and purchasing decisions.
• Child Development - Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities to support social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth; provides guidance and consistent limits.
