Job summary

The Learning Experience is currently hiring a Toddler Assistant Teacher in Meridian, ID. You will work with Lead Teachers to implement daily toddler activities and routines in a caring, structured classroom.

You will foster language, social development, and independence while maintaining safety and a clean learning space. The role offers consistent hours and opportunities for advancement within our early childhood team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with children preferred.
• Toddler classroom experience is a plus.
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily Toddler classroom routines and learning activities.
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning.
• Support language development, independence, and positive social interactions.
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance.
• Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership.
• Follow Idaho childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
