Job summary

The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen is seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Teacher Assistant to support our toddler classroom. This role helps children build confidence, communication, and independence while collaborating with an experienced Lead Teacher.

As a Toddler Teacher Assistant, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Early childhood education or childcare experience preferred.
• Passion for working with toddlers and supporting their development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach.
• Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily classroom routines for toddler-aged children
• Support developmentally appropriate learning activities using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Encourage children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Observe children's progress and communicate with the Lead Teacher
• Follow all New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing requirements
