The Goddard School located at 200 N. Tyler Rd, Saint Charles, IL 60174 is seeking a motivated and caring Toddler Assistant Teacher.

You will support the Toddler Lead Teacher in implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities, manage the classroom, and help create a safe, stimulating environment for young learners. We value energetic, nurturing candidates who communicate well with families and collaborate with our supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children.
• Works productively without supervision.
• Basic understanding of child development.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children.
• Must pass required state background checks and meet state minimum education, experience and credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Toddler Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development through active engagement and positive interactions.
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure a safe, clean and inviting learning environment.
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children and foster a sense of belonging.
• Assist in communicating with families about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and licensing regulations to ensure a secure environment.
• Support daily care routines and tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment.
