Job summary

A childcare educational center in North Little Rock is seeking a classroom assistant responsible for maintaining a nurturing and safe classroom environment, implementing lesson plans, and providing individual support to students. The ideal candidate will work with infants and toddlers and assist in daily activities, including meal service and maintaining cleanliness. This position offers opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Creating and following a lesson plan.
• Maintaining a classroom and providing support to the teacher.
• Working in small groups or one-on-one with students.
• Provides support to teacher with activities and instruction
• Help keep learning areas tidy and safe
• Provide a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
• work in small groups or one-on-one with students in the classroom to reinforce instructional material
• Instruct students in proper classroom procedures and behavior
• Follow lesson plan in lead teacher’s absence
• Assist with serving meals, changing diapers writing daily reports, recording attendance, engaging in play, assisting to put children to sleep, and creating a safe environment
• Keep appearance of children neat and clean
• Assist in the daily cleaning and disinfecting of classroom and toys
• Hybrid Responsibilities (filling in as assistance in other classrooms)
• All miscellaneous items pertaining to the classroom
