Job summary

BrightPath Kids is hiring a Teacher Assistant to work closely with teachers and families to provide a safe, home-like atmosphere for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

No classroom experience? Paid training is provided, and we welcome applicants ready to grow within a supportive team. This full-time role offers a childcare discount and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and supports exploration.
• Interact with children to encourage engagement in activities.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

As a Teacher Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
