Summary

Amici Trilingual Montessori is an Ahwatukee Preschool located in Phoenix, Arizona. We teach using the Montessori philosophy and full Language Immersion. We develop and nurture young children, preparing them for their future by giving them an advantage in reading, writing, and speaking in the world’s most spoken languages: Mandarin, Spanish, and English.

Amici Trilingual Montessori teaches our children through full language immersion using the Montessori curriculum along with a Chinese and Hispanic multicultural curriculum that includes language, vocabulary, songs, art, and music.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Spanish-speaking Infant Montessori teacher for a position at Amici Trilingual Montessori in Phoenix, Arizona. Our authentic Montessori school’s curriculum is designed to build a solid foundation in academics, social, emotional, physical, and moral/ethical development. We promote independence, self-motivation, and decision-making skills, celebrating diversity and using culturally responsive and positive discipline approaches to foster positive self-concept in each child.

Your goals as a Certified Lead Montessori Teacher include helping children to:

• Build social and emotional skills by encouraging positive relationships with peers, staff, and families.
• Develop positive self-concept and confidence by embracing and celebrating students’ culture and applying positive discipline techniques.
• Enhance intellectual and cognitive abilities through respectful use of Montessori materials.
• Foster creativity and fine motor skills via art, music, and sensory activities.
• Improve large motor skills through outdoor play and movement activities.
• Encourage respect for nature, self, and the environment through weekly outdoor activities.

Your role requires that you:

• Commit to high-quality early childhood education and the Montessori method.
• Implement culturally responsive teaching techniques.
• Prepare and maintain the Montessori classroom environment according to philosophy standards.
• Plan and update curriculum to support multicultural education.
• Participate in AMS membership processes.
• Monitor and record individual developmental milestones.
• Maintain effective communication with families.
• Serve as the main contact for assistant teachers and communicate with the director.
• Ensure a safe, nurturing environment for children.

Language Requirement

• Fluent in Spanish.

Education - Strongly Desired

• Montessori Certification: AMS or AMI Credential in Infant/Toddler.
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

Experience - Must Have

• At least 1 year working with young children in a school or licensed center.
• At least 1 year teaching in a Montessori classroom.
• At least 1 year in a lead teaching role.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $17.50/hour, with a pay range of $13.50 - $17.50 per hour.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
