Job summary

The Y’s Barkley Early Learning Center is seeking a Full-Time Toddler 2 Lead Teacher to create a joyful, developmentally appropriate classroom for 2-year-olds. You will plan hands-on activities, sing songs, read stories, and explore nature while building strong relationships with families and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and a high school graduate (or equivalent).
• Previous experience with children in a developmental setting preferred.
• Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Experience with diverse populations.
• Current CPR and First Aid, AED certifications.
• Praesidium Child Abuse prevention training within 15 days of hire.
• STARS 30 Hour Childcare Basic Training within 3 months of hire date.
• TB test, HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen training, Safe Sleep, MERIT account, Food Handlers Card, MERIT background check, MMR immunization.
• Willingness to obtain the ECE initial certificate (approx 12 credits).
