The South Carolina Office of the Attorney General is seeking an Assistant Attorney General for the Tobacco Division. This role requires a Juris Doctorate and involves significant responsibilities including legal research, reviewing certifications, and ensuring compliance with tobacco laws.

Qualifications

• Must be a member and in good standing with the SC Bar.
• Must satisfy Rule 403 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Research and answer questions regarding Tobacco Law.
• Review and approve annual certifications to the Tobacco Directory.
• Analyze escrow accounts of Tobacco Manufacturers.
• Draft correspondence to financial institutions and councils.
• Maintain and operate a spreadsheet tracking cigarette sales.
