Job summary

Saver Group in Kentucky is hiring a Tobacco Clerk responsible for cashiering, stocking, and maintaining store conditions. Provide excellent customer service and ensure a clean, organized Tobacco section.

This role requires verifying customers’ ages for tobacco products and flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and willingness to deal with people daily.
• Ability to count money and make accurate change.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and arrive to work on time.
• Ability to clean and straighten product when no customers need assisting.
• Flexibility in schedules – seven day operation with weekend/evening hours.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform bending, lifting and reaching.
• Background check required; drug test may be required at select locations.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and completes checkout procedures, handling cash, cards, coupons and checks.
• Follows all checkout and cash handling policies.
• Keep tobacco area neat and stocked, sweep and clean counters, take out trash.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Check customers' ages for tobacco purchases; customers must be 21 or older at purchase time.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for duties such as cashiering, stocking, and cleaning. Tobacco Clerks provide excellent customer service and assists in maintaining excellent daily store conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operates a cash register efficiently and performs checkout procedures at or above expected performance standards including, but not limited to, accurate handling/counting of cash, debit cards, credit cards, coupons and checks
• Follows all check-out and cash handling procedures and policies
• Keep Tobacco looking neat and presentable, including but not limited to, stocking snacks and drinks, sweeping, cleaning counters, changing trash. May include cleaning outside as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Check the identification of all customers attempting to purchase tobacco products. Customers must be 21 years of age or older.

• Must successfully complete a background check. A drug test is required for Berea #2, Campbellsville, Lebanon, KY, Circleville, and Southland.
