Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service and support back-end operations. You will greet customers, handle online order pickups, scan and bag items, and maintain a neat, safe front-end area according to company policies.

Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to work in a team, and learn multiple tasks. Physical duties include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Desire to work in a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements, when applicable, to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly, efficient service experience.
• Support front-end operations and maintain standard practices.
• Process customer orders and assist with pickup of online orders.
• Identify produce and merchandise varieties to support sales and customer queries.
• Scan, bag, label purchases, and follow policy procedures.
• Ensure IDs are checked for alcohol purchases and assist with QA issues as needed.
• Stand and move about the front end area to meet store service standards.
