Responsibilities
  • Create a diverse sushi menu featuring various main ingredients and raw fish such as salmon and tuna
  • Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri, and sashimi
  • Add flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi, and soy sauce as appropriate
  • Manage food preparation activities, including boiling rice
  • Coordinate with wait staff to ensure proper cooking and accommodate special requests and food allergies
  • Prepare appetizers, soups, and salads aligned with Japanese cuisine principles
  • Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
  • Maintain hygiene standards in all cooking areas and clean your workspace at the end of each shift
Requirements and Skills
  • Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or at an Asian restaurant
  • Good knowledge of various sushi types and rolling techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately
  • Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Flexibility to work various shifts
