Description

Summary: Prep fiberglass part(s) by grinding, trimming, drilling, and cutting using pre-established measurements, drill guides and templates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Move parts into the grinding booth, pull part from mold.
  • Grind, trim, drill and cut parts, using hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Use proper equipment and processes.
  • Layout of options by reading work orders, using prints and/or overlays.
  • Polycore areas as required to engineering specifications.
  • Rework as necessary.
  • General housekeeping of tools, area, and department, this includes keeping track of the filter log for the dust chamber
  • Work quickly, safely, and efficiently to meet production schedule and tack times.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Annual Pulmonary Function Testing – Medical Clearance to wear a Respirator

Annual Fit Testing – Testing of the Respirator to ensure it fits safety and securely.
