BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY
Performs advanced (senior-level) maintenance, renovation, restoration and alteration work at National Guard facilities in Region VI – Camp Mabry. O versees building repairs, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and air-conditioning work and ensures compliance. May serve as a lead worker providing direction to contractors and others. The Maintenance Specialist reports to the Camp Mabry HVAC Maintenance Supervisor. Works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative andindependent judgment.
WORK HOURS: Monday - Thursday, 10 hours a day, 40 hours a week

PHYSICAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Work generally involves the ability to stoop, bend, crawl, l ift, climb, kneel, stand, walk, sit, carry, push, pull, balance, reach, or crouch and requires good color vision and depth perception. Frequently lifts, carries, and sets up equipment and materials that weigh up to 40 pounds . Works inside and outside in areas that are usually dusty, dirty, or greasy, and often works in inclement weather conditions. Requires the ability to travel approximately 50%.
