TMC Rincon Neonatology Nurse Practitioner (NNP)

$50,000 Sign-On Bonus with a 3-year commitment!

We are seeking 3 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) to support our Level I Newborn Nursery at TMC Rincon. In Arizona, NPs practice independently but receive support from neonatologists or pediatricians. Responsibilities include:

  1. Examining and managing newborn care, facilitating transitions to primary care providers, and conducting follow-up calls post-discharge if necessary.
  2. Attending high-risk deliveries and stabilizing sick infants for transport to TMC's Level III+ NICU.
  3. Providing clinical support to labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum staff throughout the day.

The on-call schedule involves 5 days of 24-hour home/pager call, followed by 10 days off, during which shifts at TMC's larger facility may be available to maintain skills. Part-time candidates are also encouraged to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in a related, preferably acute care, setting.
  • Licensure/Certification: National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or eligibility to obtain it; current Arizona RN and NNP licenses; DEA license; additional certifications as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of nursing care, assessment best practices, and regulations.
  • Skill in health assessments, providing patient care, and interpreting professional information.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with various mathematical concepts and interpret instructions.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Regular use of hands, physical activity including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and visual acuity. Exposure to potentially hazardous fluids, chemicals, tissues, fumes, airborne particles, and radiation. Moderate noise levels.
