Job Location: Southwest Territory: CO, OK, TX - Thornton, CO
Salary Range: $75000.00 - $124000.00 Base+Commission/year
Job Shift: Day
Description

The ideal home base for this position would be any of the following cities: Amarillo, Houston, Oklahoma City, Denver or Albuquerque but will consider applicants who reside in other areas within the territory defined below depending on experience and cultural fit.

Are you a “road warrior” with outside sales experience in home improvement, building materials or a related industry? Are you great at reading people and have experience teaching customers all along the value stream how to be successful with your products whether user, retailer, or distributor? Does cold calling get your blood pumping? Do you aspire to high-performance and want to represent an organization who shares in your vision? Then you might be a perfect fit for our open Territory Manager position (Home Improvement Segment) at Sashco.

HI Territory Managers (TMs) are accountable for leveraging Sashco’s value proposition including our high-performance positioning, merchandising collateral, marketing, and promotional programs to increase placement and sell-through of our brands through both existing and new customers in the channels we serve; in this case within the Southwest territory encompassing the following states: TX, NM, OK, KS, CO.

As a TM at Sashco, you will join a talented team of high-performers as passionate about your success as they are their own. You will enjoy considerable autonomy but are also accountable for your piece of the plan, the execution of which will require about 75% of your work time to be spent on the road – away from home. You will find plenty of opportunities at Sashco to add to your skills and make contributions beyond the scope of your day-to-day work, which makes each workday unique. Rewards for success can be significant!

In your first six months you will:

  • Start by being a sponge. We provide a robust onboard and training program to help you learn about customers, systems, processes, and our products. This will be a mix of in-person, virtual and in the field w/ manager and / or peers.
  • Upon completion of onboard and initial training, continue working from “proficiency” to “mastery” of TM skills.
  • Assume ownership of territory and assigned direct accounts
  • Attend industry events, buying markets aligned with strategic plan
  • Get to know the team. Integrate with the sales & marketing team with whom you will interface the most in addition to getting to know other teams within Sashco.
Qualifications

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Possess 2-3 years of outside sales / territory management experience
  • Possess a BS / BA in Business or related field - We will consider additional years of industry experience in lieu of Bachelors degree.
  • Possess a clean driving record
  • Have CRM experience
  • Possess technology proficiency: Smart phone and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) at a minimum
  • Can communicate effectively demonstrating tact, empathy, and respect.
  • Possess strong attention to detail for CRM maintenance, orders, and reports

Bonus points for you if you have:

  • Channel experience and existing relationships (hardware, lumber, building materials)
  • Salesforce experience
  • Advanced Excel acumen
  • Passion for home improvement projects. In the lumberyard, hardware or improvement store almost every weekend!
  • Experience with lean and / or process improvement methods
  • Formal Sales Training (especially Challenger)
