Job summary

Sacramento Unified School District is seeking a Part-Time Transitional Kindergarten Instructional Assistant (FTE .75) to support early childhood classrooms. Position details include 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 10 months per year, with a 0.75 FTE.

Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent with 6 college units in ECE or Child Development to be completed within one year, plus some experience with young children. References required upon application.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with at least six (6) semester units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development to be completed within one year of appointment.
• Some experience working with young children is required and one of the following: completion of at least two years of study (48 semester units), an associate’s degree, pass the district paraprofessional test, or NCLB compliance.
• REQUIRED: Please provide 3 references when you apply for this position.
• If you do not have 48 college units, contact Human Resources to schedule the NCLB test.
