Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) seeks a TK-12 Administrator Substitute (0469) for a part-time, school-year calendar. The role supports Principal/Assistant Principal absences, covers administrative duties, and requires an active Administrative Services Credential with flexible availability.

The starting daily rate is $571.41, with higher rates after the sixth day, depending on grade level and enrollment numbers. Multiple SFUSD sites. Background checks and TB tests are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited undergraduate institution.
• Active Administrative Services Credential.
• Negative TB test within 60 days of hire.
• Clearance of fingerprint background check.
• Be available for assignments five days a week.
• Be flexible and willing to work at SFUSD’s High Potential Schools.
• If retired, review CalSTRS guidance on working after retirement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision in administering the educational program of a school site.
• Maintain a safe and orderly school environment supporting student needs.
• Oversee classroom walkthroughs and discuss teaching practices with staff.
• Maintain effective two-way communications with staff, families, and the community.
• Act ethically and professionally, placing children at the center of education.
