Job Description
Performs moderately complex (journeylevel) analytical and reporting support for the Juvenile Justice System of Texas. Independently plans and completes routine and moderately complex analytical assignments, develops reports and dashboards, investigates dataquality issues, and translates business questions into analytical requirements. Supports agency data governance process. Uses statistical and analytical methods to identify trends and support program and operational decisionmaking. Works directly with stakeholders and communicates findings, assumptions, and limitations in understandable terms.
Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Hybrid inoffice / workfromhome role but not restricted to Austin Metropolitan area (agency has locations throughout the state). May be required to work more than 40 hours per workweek and travel occasionally.
Essential Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Two (2) year of fulltime wageearning professional experience in data or statistical analysis required.
A cover letter is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and Education Substitutions:
Completed course hours of graduate study may substitute for up to two years of experience on a basis of 12 graduate course hours for one year of experience.
Completion of a relevant data analysis or data science training program may count toward years of experience depending on the hours and content of study.
Experience requirements may be satisfied by the prorated parttime equivalent.
Note: Any degree, diploma, high school equivalent, or course hours required to meet minimum qualifications must be from an accredited educational institution.
