Position Summary

The Suite Attendant is responsible for serving guests in the Suites. The Suite Attendant must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment.

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role pays an hourly rate of $12.00 and is tip eligible.

About the Venue

Polar Park is a baseball park in Worcester, Massachusetts, serving as the home of the Worcester Red Sox, a Minor League Baseball team competing at the Triple-A level and an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. Opened for the 2021 Triple-A season, it has a seating capacity of 9,508 people.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in setting up food service areas within specific suites based on pre-orders.
  • Ensure all assigned suites are prepared prior to the event based on received orders.
  • Organize and prepare for events in assigned locations.
  • Assist in closing out financials for individual suites.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, uphold safety and sanitation standards, and foster a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory control and fulfill product requisitions.
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  • Supervise the service of beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages.
  • Check guest IDs to verify minimum age for alcohol purchase.
  • Respond to guest requests and ensure suites have necessary serving ware.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance as per company standards.
  • Ensure equipment is operational and clean before events.
  • Recognize guests who are visibly intoxicated and take appropriate action.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management, and guests.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required by law.
  • Handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Perform basic math functions related to POS transactions, cash reconciliation, and inventory.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in food & beverage or customer service roles.
