Job summary

Coates Field Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced Title Agent for work in Pittsburgh, PA, providing title research for a western New York electric transmission project. You will work with digital workflows, search courthouse records, and compile title abstracts across counties.

Qualifications

• Experience performing title research for land and right-of-way projects.
• Ability to interpret deeds, maps and legal descriptions.
• Proficiency with county records and online research tools.

Responsibilities

• Determines ownership and legal description from county records for project needs.
• Searches property records for conveyances, liens and instruments.
• Plots legal descriptions including metes and bounds.
• Compiles complete abstract of title from patent to current date.
• Identifies title defects and reports to Title Supervisor.
• Prepares runsheet of records showing title and encumbrances.
• Reviews title information and checks accuracy against maps.
