What We Do
First American is reinventing the commercial title industry from within. We’re looking for a unique, ambitious individual who wants to join an early-stage, high-growth operation within a larger, Fortune 500 organization.

In support of this rapidly expanding team, your main responsibility will be to ensure that a commercial property can be legally transferred with clear title.

As a Title Officer, you will:

  1. Perform complete title searches primarily for commercial transactions from patent in section land.
  2. Properly price commitments, endorsements, policies and guarantees using appropriate schedule of fees and charges.
  3. Utilize technical bulletins to evaluate and resolve problems.
  4. Select appropriate write-ups for commitments and policies, both standard and extended coverage, and write error-free instructions to production typist for same.
  5. Exercise judgment within defined policies and procedures.
  6. Use data to drive decision making and continual process improvements.

Your qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  2. 3-5 years title/related real estate experience.
  3. Regional or national commercial title experience.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Analytical review, research, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Familiarity with company operating systems and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, strongly desired.

Pay Range: $27.40-$45.66 Hourly


This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
