Job summary

Landpoint, LLC in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Research Technician to support licensed surveyors with title and land-records research. You will perform online and public-records research of deeds, easements, and ROW, assemble line lists, and secure access from landowners to enable boundary determinations and ROW analysis.

The role serves as a research resource to PM and RPLS/PLS teams, handling research requests, verifying records, and ensuring complete, organized project files for survey use.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a research technician, landman, title abstractor, or similar role.
• Proven ability to research and interpret deeds, easements, and ROW documents.
• Strong understanding of land-related documents (deeds, easements, ROW, leases).
• Ability to pull and navigate city plats, county records, DOT plats and other public records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct online and public-records research of deeds, easements, and ROW to support survey projects.
• Locate, retrieve, and organize source documents including plats and DOT plats.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of retrieved records and escalate ambiguities or missing documents.
• Build and maintain accurate line lists from deed calls for use by surveyors.
• Secure survey permission and property access from landowners and capture access details.
• Submit utility locate (811/One Call) requests and track ticket status.
• Maintain standardized project folder structures and deliverables.
• Intake and prioritize research requests from PM and RPLS/PLS team; communicate status.
