South Louisiana Community College is seeking a skilled higher education financial aid professional to manage Title IV aid programs, monitor and award workforce education grants, and ensure regulatory compliance across state and federal programs.

You will coordinate with VA benefits, develop required reports, and collaborate with external agencies to resolve complex eligibility issues while maintaining accurate fund disbursements and student records.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional experience in higher education financial aid or related fields.
• Experience in eligibility determination and financial counseling.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and grant processing.

Responsabilités

• Executes the technical processing and lifecycle management of federal Title IV aid programs, including origination and disbursement.
• Monitors, packages, and awards workforce education grant funding to qualifying students.
• Serves as an institutional subject matter expert for federal/state compliance reporting.
• Manages the packaging, awarding, and tracking of workforce education grants in Banner Financial Aid system.
• Conducts reconciliation of federal/state funding accounts with COD and LOSFA.
• Administers VA education benefits and coordinates with VA Primary Certifying Official.
• Develops and submits federally/state-mandated program reports (e.g., FISAP).
• Interacts with state agencies and COD/Enrollment Manager systems to resolve eligibility issues.
• Monitors grant balances for billing and expenditure in coordination with program managers.
• Maintains knowledge to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Performs other related duties as required.
