Job summary

Clark County School District in Henderson is seeking a para-professional/aide to support Autism-Primary programs for grades K-2. This 9-month assignment requires a seven-hour daily schedule and proper documentation including transcripts and CPR/AED certification.

Preferred qualifications include signing abilities for the hearing-impaired program and one year of experience with special education children.

Education, Training, and Experience

• High school graduation or other equivalent (General Educational Development [GED], foreign equivalency, etc.).
• Minimum of 48 credits from an accredited college or university or a passing score on the Educational Testing Service (ETS) ParaPro assessment.
• Experience working with children.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current CPR/AED certificate from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or a similar organization. Certification must be maintained for duration of assignment. Certification training must be in-person and include a hands‑on component. Online courses will not be accepted. A copy of the front and back of the CPR/AED certificate must be uploaded into the application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Signing abilities (for the hearing‑impaired program).
• One (1) year of experience working with special education children.

• College transcript(s) from an accredited college or university, if applicable or copy of passing score on the ETS ParaPro assessment.
