Job summary

Bellingham Public Schools in Bellingham, MA is seeking Title I Reading/ELA Tutors for anticipated openings at Bellingham Memorial School for the 2026-2027 school year. Up to 19.5 hours/week, grant-funded. One-year positions funded through the Title I Grant. Salary is $30/hour.

Starting date is To Be Determined; positions report to the Title I Lead Teacher and Building Principal. This stipend-based role supports the district’s Title I program and student achievement goals.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Reading or English at K-6 level per MA frameworks preferred.
• Understanding rubrics and standards-based units preferred.
• Experience with DIBELS, UFLI, TOSWRF, and Running Records is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assess, document, and instruct students according to diagnosed needs in ELA/Reading.
• Instruct students in ELA/Reading content, strategies and skills.
• Document progress toward improving MCAS performance.
• Administer Reading assessments.
• Attend Title I staff meetings and parent workshops as necessary.
