Job summary

Mid-Michigan Area Public Schools Consortium seeks paraprofessionals for Fiedler Elementary School in Flint, MI. Positions include 4 full-time and 1 part-time, with up to 26 hours per week, Monday-Thursday.

Qualifications

• Meet State guidelines for Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals.
• Have 60 college credit hours (90 hours Baker College) or an Associate's Degree.
• Have passed a State-approved paraprofessional test (ETS).
• Submit a letter of interest, resume with references, transcripts (if applicable) and three letters of recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group assistance in core content areas (reading, writing, math, science, social studies).
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Participate in required trainings (some outside school hours).
• Follow teacher/instructional coach directions in delivery of student assistance.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate stamina and capability to meet job requirements.

Requirements:

• All applicants MUSTat least meet State guidelines for Highly Qualified Paraprofessionals
• 60 hours college credit (90 hours Baker College)OR

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
• Have the ability to work with students individually and in small groups
• Successfully pass a state police background check
• Be able to motivate students
