Job summary

Fort Wayne Community Schools is seeking a paraprofessional to support Title I literacy compliance, family engagement, and Pre-K requirements. The role involves a mix of instructional and clerical duties to assist the Unit Head.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with one year of clerical or school experience; a college degree is preferred. Strong office computer skills and solid communication abilities are essential. A drug screen is required for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Meet with small groups of students daily to provide literacy interventions.
• Collaborate with principal, instructional coach, and interventionist on literacy strategies.
• Compile information and maintain records related to Title I literacy compliance, family engagement, and Pre-K.
• Assist in planning and executing family engagement activities.
• Assist in Pre-K classrooms to cover lunch breaks and when staff is absent (CPR, background checks, and training may be required).
• Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator.
