Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Sixty college credits or an associate degree or ParaPro credential preferred.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists classroom teacher in performing duties to achieve instructional objectives.
• Works with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Provides programmed practice activities and repetitions as developed by the teacher.
• Assists with large and small group activities.
• Guides independent study and monitors student behavior.
• Reports student problems to the teacher.
• Assists with student routines and transitions.
