Job summary

Waxahachie ISD seeks an Aide – Instructional, Title I at Jimmie Ray Elementary in Waxahachie, TX. This instructional support role requires assisting the teacher with instruction, preparation and classroom management under direct supervision.

The position is non-exempt and on-site, with a 187 duty-day schedule and immediate starting date. Must have a high school diploma or GED, plus a paraprofessional aide certification (can be obtained after hired).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional Aide Certification required (can be obtained after employment).
• Experience working with students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction under the teacher's supervision.
• Assist in classroom management and preparation of materials.
• Assist with administration and scoring of tests and records.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom and equipment.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
