Job summary

Alpine School District in Cherry Hill is seeking a Title I Teaching Assistant to support classroom instruction and assist with small groups. You will provide clerical support and help implement curriculum under teacher supervision.

The role is non-contract, Monday–Friday, 5.75 hours per day, with an hourly rate of $18.83. Requires an Associate degree or 60 quarter/48 semester hours or successful completion of the para pro praxis test.

Qualifications

• Age 16+.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or 60 quarter/48 semester hours or have passed the para pro praxis test.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials under supervising teacher guidance.
• Administers assignments, tests, and homework to support learning.
• Assists students individually or in small groups to reinforce concepts.
• Communicates with teachers and/or parents about progress.
• Implements instructional programs and lesson plans under supervision.
• Maintains classroom equipment and records to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Monitors students in various settings to maintain safety.
• Reports observations to instructional/administrative staff.
• Supports teachers and staff in curriculum implementation.
• Attends meetings and training as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
