Responsibilities

Act as a translator for students, staff, and parents.
Assist students in computer lessons and provide direct instruction to students with difficulties in reading and math.
Work with teachers as required, including instruction of small groups in reading/language arts, writing, and mathematics.
Facilitate parent involvement activities.
Maintain classroom equipment, work areas, student files, and instructional materials.
Monitor students in classrooms, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, labs, and field trips.
Organize instructional materials and participate in workshops and training.
Perform record keeping and clerical functions such as scheduling, copying, correcting papers, and compiling lists.
Provide instructional support in the classroom and media center, including one-on-one tutoring when scheduled.
Respond to emergency situations, such as injured students or fights.
Assisting other personnel as required.
