Job summary

Sapulpa Public Schools Service Center in Sapulpa, OK seeks a part-time School Bus Driver to intermittently transport students home after tutoring. You will ensure safety, supervise loading/unloading, and maintain daily vehicle inspections and route records.

Ideal candidates hold a CDL with school bus endorsements, an Oklahoma driver’s license, and an up-to-date physical. This role requires good discipline, punctuality, and clear communication with staff and families.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger, air brakes and school bus endorsements required.
• OK School Bus Driving Certificate required.
• Up-to-date physical exam required.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Intermittently drive a school bus or vehicle to take students home after tutoring.
• Oversee loading/unloading of students and release to authorized individuals.
• Maintain order and discipline; document and report severe disciplinary issues.
• Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of the vehicle.
• Ensure vehicle is safe and clean; report repairs and refuel as needed.
• Maintain records on mileage, routing, maintenance and schedules.
• Attend meetings and in-service training; maintain required licenses.
• Notify appropriate individuals of any delays on the scheduled route.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Intermittently (onlywhen needed), drive a school bus or vehicle to take students home after tutoring
• Oversees the loading and unloading of students, releasing students to authorized individual(s)
• Maintains order and proper discipline of passengers; resolving disputes, documents, and reports severe disciplinaryissues
• Conducts established safety and operational inspection of assigned vehicle daily
• Assures maintenance of the vehiclein safe and clean operating condition; reports needed mechanical repairs, services the vehicle with gas as needed, and follows established security procedures
• Maintains a variety of records and reports, including but not limited to mileage, routing, maintenance, and time schedules
• Attends meetings, programs, and in-service training as assigned
• Maintains current required licenses and certificates
• Notifies appropriate individuals of any delays in the scheduled route
• Performs other related duties as assigned
