Job summary

Stewart is seeking a qualified title examiner to support nationwide title services by researching public records and examining titles to determine legal status of property titles as part of production centers, branches, or teams.

The role requires at least a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred) and typically 2+ years of related work experience; Stewart provides inclusive teamwork and a competitive benefits package including health coverage, a 401(k) with company match, an employee stock

Responsibilities

• Compiles, investigates and examines public and tax records to determine liabilities and legal condition of the title and insurability of the property.
• Prepares accurate and comprehensive title commitments in accordance with company examining and policy procedures.
• Follows standard procedures and guidelines.
• Understands how assigned duties relate to others within the team and how the team integrates with related teams.
• Impacts own team through the quality of the support provided.
• Recognizes and solves typical problems; selects solutions from established options.
• Communicates moderately complex information in routine situations, typically within own team.
• Works under general supervision with limited ability to modify approach; Individual contributor having no supervisory responsibilities; manages own workload.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Education
