Starting Pay Range: $20 - $25/hr

Day/Swing shift available

As a Cook at The Lake House, you’ll prepare and cook menu items, follow food safety standards, and support the kitchen team in delivering high-quality dishes.

What does a Cook do?

• Continually demonstrates the ability to produce food orders in a timely, neat and organized manner according to the needs of the guest.
• Always follows all approved recipes while ensuring proper cooking techniques and the highest quality standards are upheld.
• Understands the importance of proper food handling procedures and ensures that procedures are always followed.
• Continually demonstrates the ability to properly use kitchen equipment while ensuring the highest safety standards.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Cook, you'll need:

• A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma; required.
• Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or related field; preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers, complete basic forms, and follow schedules and menus. Must also possess basic math skills for measuring and be able to operate kitchen equipment such as steamers, fryers, and ovens.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 71 - 80 pounds.
