Job summary

ReNEW Schools is seeking a dedicated aide to provide instructional and supervisory support for students with special needs. Working under the Building Principal, you will assist staff and help sustain a safe, respectful, and confidential learning environment.

You will implement instructional strategies, support individualized plans, and collaborate with families and team members to promote student learning and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to follow instructional plans and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, support, and tutor students with special needs in classroom and school settings.
• Provide individualized and small-group instructional support to students requiring additional assistance.
• Assist in implementing instructional strategies as directed by certified staff.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt

COMPENSATION: Based on Classified Pay Model

WORK CALENDAR: 180 Days

STANDARD HOURS: 5.8 Hours per Day / 29 Hours per Week

Position Overview

The employee in this position provides instructional and supervisory support to students with special needs. Working under the direction of the Building Principal and in collaboration with instructional staff, the individual supports student learning through individualized and small-group assistance while maintaining a safe, respectful, and confidential environment.
