Role Summary
Lead and support all E Coat line operations to include system startup, monitoring, and maintenance. All scheduling of operators, tasks, and projects will be the responsibility of the supervisor. Lead and develop plans and schedules for any new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the E – Coat Lab operator lab time schedule.
- Develop and execute the TPM program for all E Coat Systems.
- Perform DST meetings and attend other meetings as needed.
- Manage all activities during the shift with standardization, diligence, and discipline.
- Ensure production personnel meet quality and quantity standards to satisfy internal and external customers.
- Ensure all team members comply with company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Direct team members, including team leaders, to meet or exceed customer requirements and business objectives.
- Spend at least 80% of time on the production floor.
- Work overtime as needed, including weekends or holidays.
- Ensure daily completion of timesheets and update all required documentation accurately.
- Use data-driven metrics to track productivity and performance.
- Support continuous improvement activities, including safety, quality, and process enhancements, leading problem-solving efforts (shortloop and A3).
- Maintain manufacturing best practices and single part flow objectives with proper documentation.
- Maintain training documentation, including skills assessment charts and graphs.
- Conduct corrosion testing according to customer specifications and perform quality checks.
- Lead projects and respond to audits, corporate visits, or other requirements.
- Monitor chemical consumption using SAP system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Education
- BS in Chemistry or related field preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Experience with analytical chemistry equipment.
Work Experience
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- 3 years of wastewater treatment experience.
- 3 years of E Coat experience.
- Knowledge of quality programs and data analysis using statistical software (DMAIC, DP, DPK, ANOVA, time series, R&R).
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Microsoft Office.
