Summary
The Title I Elementary Teacher provides targeted instructional support to students at risk of not meeting grade-level standards, focusing on reading and mathematics. Responsibilities include identifying academic needs, delivering interventions, and collaborating with staff and parents to ensure student success in line with Title I guidelines.

Education/License/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education
  • Valid Indiana Teacher's License
  • Literacy Endorsement or experience in Reading/Special Education preferred
  • Knowledge of Title I programming and intervention strategies preferred
  • Additional qualifications as required by the Board or State of Indiana

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver small group or one-on-one instruction
  • Use data to identify students for Title I services and monitor progress
  • Collaborate with teachers to align interventions with curriculum
  • Develop and implement instructional strategies and intervention plans
  • Participate in school improvement and Title I compliance activities
  • Communicate with parents about student progress
  • Maintain documentation of interventions and compliance
  • Support family engagement initiatives
  • Administer and interpret assessments
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance learning
  • Attend meetings, training, and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Maintain discipline and provide student support and encouragement
  • Participate in meetings with staff and parents

Physical Demands / Work Environment
