Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Canton, Ohio is hiring a Utility Operator to support Melt, Revert and Grind operations within a high-energy titanium production team. This on-site role offers hands-on experience operating tow motors, scales, torches and computers while maintaining quality and productivity.

The shift runs 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for overtime. Benefits begin on day one (medical, dental, vision); starting pay is $19 per hour plus eligible bonuses and 401(k)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with basic computer use is preferred.
• Strong problem solving, communication and teamwork skills are valued.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as tow motors, scales, hand tools, torches, and computers.
• Follow production boards, shift logs, procedures and work instructions.
• Inspect product quality and ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain equipment and housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Sort materials by size, composition and category according to procedures.
• Record time, production, and inventory data.
