Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a chemical milling operator to support titanium stock removal and surface prep for castings. You will prepare, operate and maintain tanks used for chemical milling, ensuring adherence to customer specifications.

You will measure dimensions, log data, monitor bath chemistry, and perform routine maintenance while following safety rules in a manufacturing environment. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Read reports and operate a personal computer for data entry.
• Complete Hazardous Chemical Safety Training within six months.
• Maintain attention to detail in all learned skills.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Support chemical milling by measuring stock removal on castings.
• Enter data, logs, and milling times; monitor bath chemistry.
• Load titanium castings into tumblers and milling baths.
• Rinse, dry, and transfer parts; operate circulating pumps.
• Take chemical bath samples and verify specs; adjust as needed.
• Neutralize spent bath solutions and manage waste per procedures.
• Maintain safety, perform inventory, and assist as needed.
