Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking an Operator to support chemical milling of titanium castings. You will handle measuring, loading, and monitoring milling baths, ensuring surfaces meet customer specs. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures in a chemical mill environment.

Responsibilities include recording measurements, managing bath chemistry, and maintaining thorough logs. High school diploma or equivalent required; prior chemical milling experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior chemical experience using dimensional measuring devices preferred.
• Hazardous waste training required annually for chemical mill operators engaged in hazardous waste management activities.

Responsibilities

• Measure castings with dimensional devices before and after milling to determine stock removal.
• Record measurements, logs, and milling times via computer data entry.
• Operate tumblers and milling baths; transfer and rinse castings.
• Monitor bath chemistry and temperature; adjust as needed to specifications.
• Neutralize and manage spent tank solutions per procedures.
• Maintain logs of measurements, chemical additions, and milling times.
