Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Tissue Recovery Technician to assist in recovering tissues for transplantation and to maintain compliant recovery sites. You will manage equipment, coordinate with the team, and ensure procedures meet AATB standards.

The role requires hospital/clinical experience, collaborative skills, and strong organization. A background in tissue recovery is preferred, with duties including inventory and documentation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of operating room setup, sterile technique, prepping, draping, and surgical instrumentation (Required)
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members (Required)

Responsibilities

• Assist in recovery of tissues and transport equipment and supplies.
• Ensure recovery site meets AATB standards and performs required testing.
• Promote teamwork and report to designated areas when called.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Assists in the recovery of tissues such as bone, tendons, dura, skin, veins, pericardium, and heart valves for transplantation. Transports equipment and supplies, and manages inventory of recovery supplies. Ensures the recovery site meets the Standards of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). Performs tissue recovery, preservation, and bioburden testing procedures according to departmental policies. Stays current on existing policies and procedures related to tissue recovery. Reports on time to designated areas when called to participate in tissue recovery. Promotes and participates in a team approach with other staff members. Performs other duties as assigned.

• OR NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) [Preferred]
• OR Technician in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) [Preferred]

Pay Range: $21.17 - $39.38
