Job summary

Sierra Donor Services is seeking a Tissue Recovery Coordinator in California to oversee the Tissue Team and manage recovery operations across hospitals and funeral homes. The role requires leadership in tissue recovery processes and adherence to policies and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in the medical field, a Bachelor's degree (CTBS/EBAA a plus), and a valid driver's license with MVR checks. Travel and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in the medical field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; CTBS/EBAA certification desired.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the Tissue Recovery Procurement Process including communication with hospitals and funeral homes, packaging, and shipping.
• Leads recovery team efforts of donated cadaveric human tissue including bone, skin, corneas, blood vessels, nerves, and heart valves.
• Serves as a resource and advisor to internal team members for completing recovery.
• Ensures clear communication with leadership and peers.
• Participates in the tissue recovery and donor restoration as appropriate.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory accreditation agencies and internal quality processes.
• Travel and on-call duties will be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

We want people to join our team in the role of Tissue Recovery Coordinator with previous experience in tissue banking or the medical field. This position oversees the activities of the Tissue Team, ensuring the team follows all policies, procedures, and protocols in a fast-paced environment.
