Job summary

Athens is seeking a Tire Technician for 2nd shift to inspect, repair and replace tires on the fleet. You will dismount/remount tires, perform wheel inspections and safety checks, and address DVIR issues as part of daily operations.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years in tire maintenance, valid Class C license, and ability to work overtime. Bilingual English/Spanish and ASE/trade certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED required.
• 1–2 years’ experience in heavy truck tire maintenance.
• Ability to work overtime if needed.
• Read and understand service/technical information.
• Valid Class C Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform physical duties and adhere to OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Dismount and remount tires and wheels securely on vehicles and equipment.
• Perform tire inspections, repairs and replacements on the fleet.
• Complete daily inspections of all wheel positions.
• Conduct safety inspections and address DVIR issues.
• Operate related equipment and tools as trained.
• Maintain clean and organized work area; perform other duties as assigned.
