Job summary

Cassidy Tire & Service in Lombard, IL is seeking a Tire & Lube Technician responsible for performing tire mounting, balancing, TPMS, oil changes, filter replacements, lube procedures, and related inventory tasks. You will diagnose issues and ensure work meets quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced remove and replacement functions: batteries, basic filter installations, wiper blades, headlamps, and small bulb replacement.
• Performs tire-related duties: mounting, balancing, TPMS, flat repair, rotation, tube installation, and tire diagnostics.
• Manages tire inventory functions: tire lines knowledge, stock inquiries, and shipping/receiving procedures.
• Conducts visual inspections under hood, under car, and during wheel-off scenarios.
• Operates tire machines, balancers, lube equipment, lifts, and related shop tools safely and competently.
• Maintains facility by following opening/closing procedures and general upkeep.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will be an analytical problem solver, self-starter, goal oriented, someone who sets high standards for themselves and others, detail oriented, tenacious, and has the ability to drive tasks to completion in an efficient way.

Objective

We are looking for a competent Tire & Lube Technician . This person will be responsible for performing all tire, oil, filter, lube diagnostics and procedures, and related tire inventory functions. As a Technician this person will be responsible for promoting a culture of quality and superior customer service.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced remove and replacement functions: battery and basic filter installations, wiper blade, headlamps, and small bulb replacement.
• Performs all phases of tires including: mounting, balancing, TPMS, flat repair, rotation, tube installation, lube and oil filter procedures, diagnostics of tire wear and vibration.
• Performs tire related inventory functions including knowledge of tire lines, tire procedures, tire stock inquiries, and shipping and receiving procedures.
• Performs visual inspections including: under hood, under car and wheel off.
• Operates the following equipment acceptably and safely: tire machine, balancer, lube equipment, flat repair equipment, lifts, impact gun torque wrench, tread depth gauge, grinder/wire wheel, micrometer, radial run out gauge, power flush machine, torches, alignments rack, strut machine, ball joint press, and all equipment necessary to perform Tire and Lube Technician role.
• Performs facility maintenance by following proper opening and closing procedures, housecleaning, and performing other general maintenance duties.
• Performs flushes by effectively utilizing applicable equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics including, but not limited to recognizing noise or vibration problems after road testing.
